The School

The Tarheel School of Rock is a performance-based rock music program.  It is focused on taking beginner or advanced players and moving them toward a genuine rock performance and, hopefully, a lifelong love for music and playing with bands and ensembles.

How does the program work?

Students receive 30- minute private lessons on guitar, bass or drums.  In addition, students will rehearse with  a band made up of other SOR students that will move them toward THE SHOW!

This program is designed to not only help young people learn their instrument, but to motivate them, help them overcome stage fright, and to develop socially.

The SHOW!

The goal of Tarheel SOR is to get the students to perform.  At the end of each segment, a very cool concert (including lighting and a massive sound system) is held at a real local venue.  At that concert, students perform the material they've prepared during their "semester" of rehearsal.

What's The Cost?

Please call Jon Berrier or Rick McDuffie @ 919-989-1805 for details, or email us at tarheelmusic@earthlink.net
